it's been a while since anyone has posted here, so i'm trying to breathe a little life back into this project. check out my most recent article published in cynic magazine. it is a glib piece comparing the current presidential candidates to sleazy salesmen. my favorite part is the end.
In my ongoing quest for new ways of self-expression, I came across this awful synonym for "noise": tintinnabulation. I dare you to use it in prose or a poem without making it sound forced.
Here is a query letter I used to pitch an article idea to Relix Magazine. I have no idea how to write query letters. I'm not sure what is the most effective method of selling an idea to an editor, so I told the editor a story. I was hoping to show the editor what he would be getting if he hired me. I didn't get the job, but I was invited to "stay in touch, and pitch again".
This is a continuation of a previous blog post about resume writing. This is what I came up with after some toil. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please let me know.

I'm often amazed by the depths of geekiness to which I can sink when I get the feeling. In an attempt to boost my stunted vocabulary I've replaced my normal bathroom reading material -- Rolling Stone, Swank, Highlights for Kids -- with the American Heritage Dictionary.
